RetailTRAK™ September 2009 - Running Specialty Retail Sales

Totaling $59M and up 3.6% in September over September sales, Running Specialty retail sales continued comfortably out-pacing the general retail economy. Year-to-date sales, totaling $526M, were ahead of the same period last year by 5%.

For the 12 month period (October 08 – September 09) all Running Specialty store sales totaled $665M, a 3% increase over the previous twelve-month period (October 07 – September 08).

Comparing dollars sales this September to last:

• All Footwear: +6%
• Road Running Shoes +6%
• Neutral/Cushion Shoes +19%
• Stability Shoes + <1%
• Motion Control Shoes -5%
• All Apparel -18%
• Sportswear -18%
• All Accessories +7%
