In September 2009, Active Americans were asked about their usage of nutrition bars. Sixty five percent indicated they do consume nutrition bars.
Of those that do, 37% have one on a weekly basis and 35% eat them a few times a month. 29% consume them occasionally or rarely. 
Frequent Consumers More Likely to Purchase a Brand that Donates to Charity
Forty percent of those who currently eat nutrition bars are more likely to purchase a brand if some of the proceeds go to a cancer charity. Those who eat nutrition bars most frequently are more likely to purchase the brand that gives to charity (42%) while those who eat them occasionally (34%) and rarely (24%) are far less likely to purchase that brand.
